For business owners with a suspended Google Ads account

“Your account is suspended—To complete your appeal for Suspicious payments, verify your payment info”

Google Ads account suspended for Suspicious Payment Activity? Let’s get it reinstated.

Google says it can suspend your account, or limit how much it can spend, if anything strange or wrong is detected with your payments (opens in a new tab). Until then your ads stay off, and so do the leads they bring in.

We match your payments profile, card and company records, prepare the documents Google asks for, then write and submit your appeal through our agency account. No passwords needed.

The problem

What a Suspicious Payment Activity suspension is costing you

A suspended account doesn’t pause quietly. From the moment the suspension lands, your ads are prohibited from serving and showing ads in all locations (opens in a new tab), and every day it stays that way costs you.

Leads and sales stop

The enquiries and orders your ads brought in dry up the same day, and so does the revenue that came with them.

Competitors take your space

Your competitors keep bidding on the searches you used to win, and the leads and sales that were yours go to them.

SEO has to carry the business

Organic search is all you have left, and it can’t be switched on overnight to replace what your ads were bringing in.

Paused or suspended?

Google runs two different enforcements under this name. If the notification offers an Answer questions button, your ads are paused and Google asks you to “Answer a few questions about your payment history (opens in a new tab)” inside the account. No appeal is needed for that.

If the account is suspended, the way back is an appeal. Google says that before it processes one, you may be asked to verify your payment method within 30 days (opens in a new tab). The in-account wording advertisers report is the one at the top of this page.

What Google looks for

Google’s policy gives two examples of what isn’t allowed: using stolen credit card numbers to pay for Google Ads (opens in a new tab), and using someone else’s identity to apply for monthly invoicing terms (opens in a new tab).

Genuine businesses are more often caught by the signals Google lists next to them: suddenly using several new credit cards, having payments declined or chargebacks (opens in a new tab). A bank change, an expired card or billing moved from a director to the company can be enough.

Why rushed appeals make it worse

Google’s appeal tips for this policy ask you to give details about who owns the payment method listed on your account or explain any declined payments or chargebacks (opens in a new tab). An appeal about how much you’ve spent answers neither question.

Opening a new account while you wait turns a billing problem into a bigger one. Google’s appeal email says: “Accounts created while awaiting a decision will automatically be suspended.” And giving false details during verification is itself a Circumventing Systems breach, so the documents have to be genuine.

How it works

Our 5-step Suspicious Payment Activity appeal process

We do the work. You don’t have to write the appeal, hand over a password or guess what Google wants to see.

About 5 daysusually, from our first call to your appeal being submitted
About 3 daysif your documents are already in place
  1. Free consultation

45 minutes on Google Meet with Gianluca. We read the notice with you, check whether it’s a pause or a suspension, and tell you honestly whether an appeal is the right route.

  2. Payments check

We match your payments profile, card holder, billing address and registered company, and look at each declined payment or chargeback behind the flag.

  3. Your written fix list

You get a written list of what to correct first, such as the legal name on the payments profile, so every record tells the same story.

  4. Verification and the appeal

If Google asks you to verify your payment method, we prepare the documents with you. Then we write your appeal and submit it through our agency account. No passwords needed.

  5. Up to 3 appeals, then 14 days of support

If Google rejects an appeal, we tell you honestly whether another has a realistic chance before anything else is sent. Once your account is reinstated, 14 days of post-reinstatement support is included.

Once the appeal is in, the review is Google’s and its timing is Google’s. In your account, Google says: “The review usually takes 1-3 business days, but may take longer.”

Why Ad Restore

Why Ad Restore for your payments appeal

We work directly with business owners

You speak to Gianluca Catinella, the director, from the first call. The person explaining your case is the person who has looked at your business.

We find the payment problem first

The notice names the policy, not the payment. We go through your payments profile, the cards used, any declines and chargebacks, and your company records before anything is sent to Google.

Honest about cases we can’t take

If the card on the account isn’t one the business owns or can show it may use, or a chargeback you raised against Google won’t be withdrawn, we tell you on the free call.

No passwords, ever

We connect through our agency (manager) account. Google asks you to confirm the link, you keep ownership, and you can remove our access at any time. How it works.

FAQ

Suspicious Payment Activity suspension questions

Is my account paused or suspended?

Read what the notification offers you. An Answer questions button means a pause: Google asks you to “Answer a few questions about your payment history (opens in a new tab)”, and says you’ll get a decision about the pause within 5 business days (opens in a new tab), or within 2 business days (opens in a new tab) after you submit a card code. An appeal link, or a prompt to verify your payment info to complete an appeal, means a suspension. Our guide to suspicious payment activity suspensions explains both.

What documents does Google ask for?

It depends on your country and account type. For UK organisations, Google’s document page lists a certificate of incorporation (opens in a new tab), a VAT registration certificate or a certificate of registration of charity, plus government-issued photo ID for an authorised representative, such as a passport or driving licence. The details must match your payments profile. After you submit documents, Google says verification may take a few days (opens in a new tab). See what documents Google wants for an appeal.

Do I have to give you my Google Ads password?

No. We never ask for sign-in details. We send a link request from our agency (manager) account using your Google Ads customer ID. Google asks you to confirm it, the link only exists once you accept, and you can remove it at any time. Read how we help without your password.

How long does it take?

Usually about 5 days from our first call to your appeal being submitted, or about 3 if your documents are already in place. Then the timing is Google’s. In your account, Google says: “The review usually takes 1-3 business days, but may take longer.” Nobody can speed up Google’s review.

Can I open a new Google Ads account while I wait?

No. Google’s appeal email says: “Accounts created while awaiting a decision will automatically be suspended.” Its suspensions overview adds that any new accounts that the advertiser tries to create may also be suspended (opens in a new tab). Our guide to new accounts after a suspension explains why.

How much does it cost, and what if the account isn’t reinstated?

£300, a fixed price paid up front. You can buy online and pay by card at checkout, or book the free consultation first and pay by a secure payment link afterwards. Prices are in GBP, with no VAT added.

  • If your account isn’t reinstated after up to 3 appeals, you get a 50% refund.
  • If we review your case and can’t take it on, you get a full refund.

14 days of post-reinstatement support is included in the price. The conditions are in our refund policy. Nobody can promise reinstatement, because that decision is Google’s.

Are you part of Google?

No. Ad Restore Ltd is an independent UK company, not affiliated with or endorsed by Google. We have no special channel into Google’s review process: we use the same appeal and verification routes open to every advertiser, and the decision is always Google’s.
